Monterey, California. My sister and bro-in-law were in the mood for a quick dash to Monterey for the afternoon. So, what the heck, I want along. Turned out to be a cool and overcast day, with enough reflected light to really wash out the sky, but not enough to allow my cheap snapshot camera enough light to focus confidently.
