Sunol Regional Wilderness Hiking Apr 2009

April 5, 2009. Dogs are both recovering from minor injuries, so no dog agility is going on whatsoever. SOOOO it's time for a nice frolicksome ... uh... frolic... in the park where dogs-under-control are allowed off leash.

elf1 > Zack the light-colored Golden is thrilled to be out in the open again.

elf1 > Looking for more dead toads. Renegade the dark-colored Golden scouts for danger or maybe cows.

elf1 > Most of Boost's 2-hour hike consisted of running. Surely she'll be tired for the rest of the day. Right? Right?

elf1 > The dogs needed to be sure that whoever was in the lead wasn't leading us astray.

elf1 > Wildflowers were wonderful. This is one of many fields of < a href="http://tinyurl.com/ckmc78">varieties of lupines, most native to California. My human escorts were extremely patient with me snapping photos of everything and with my hoity toity attempts to identify every flower to them. I'm sure they're grateful.

elf1 > Parts of the hike went across or alongside a stream. Dang typical Retrievers couldn't be kept out of the water. Tika loved it, too; got her very excited. Zack frolics.
