From the Picchetti Winery parking lot into the Picchetti Ranch Open Space Preserve along the Zinfandel trail with the usual maniacal Wednesday night speed-hiking group. Plus a 10-minute bonus walk at the end up "cardiac hill".

elf1 > Stevens Creek Reservoir, looking northeast towards the dam. The sunset made for beautiful lighting. I'd never seen the Reservoir from this angle before.

elf1 > Stevens Creek Reservoir again, looking northeast towards the dam; this time I think I have the whole reservoir in view (the additional section from center to center-right is mostly behind trees, but you can just see the last bit at center-right). It's not a super-wide reservoir, but long.

elf1 > Our fearless leader spotted this young raccoon crossing our path and settling into a tree. This cut face-on view lasted only briefly; when we all stopped to ooh and ahh and take photos, he headed quickly for deeper foliage.
