Monte Bello parking lot to Black Mountain with the Sierra Club yet again, in a rapid 2-hour hike. Smoke from the thousand fires burning in California added a reddish tinge to everything and draped haze across the landscape.

elf1 > Every hike up here, we've been trying to avoid stepping on these stinkbugs. They're about an inch long and they stand almost on their heads and just pose there as we all go by, waiting for us to come close enough to get geschtunk.
